Forest fire in the Everglades

A color photo taken in June, 1973 of a forest fire in the Everglades in Collier County. "Fires are fairly common in the Everglades in dry seasons or dry years. However, reports have indicated that the condition can also be caused by drainage of the land for commercial development."
