Circa 1935

During the fruit and vegetable shipping season daily reports covering all vital marketing information from the principal terminal markets is received in the Bureau office by a special operator over the leased wire, compiled by the Market News Specialist, published and distributed free to growers and shippers throughout the State. Included in this report are f.o.b. shipping point price quotations, quotations on the State Farmers' Market at Sanford, Florida, competitive shipping point information, and the Jacksonville, Miami and Tampa poultry and egg quotations. Poultry and egg quotations are also compiled and published under the direction of the Bureau at Tampa and Miami.

Livestock quotations on the principal Southern markets are compiled and furnished to the livestock interests of the State twice each week.

Sub-stations of the various sections and commodity interests during their shipping season as follows:

Hastings for Irish potatoes
Sanford for celery and vegetables
Orlando for citrus
Plant City for strawberries
Bradenton for vegetables
Belle Glade for vegetables
Pompano for vegetables
Leesburg for melons
