Historic Florida Maps
Enhance your study of Florida history with this collection of over 3,100 Florida maps from the 1500s through the present. Many of the maps can be viewed in a "Zoomified" version, which allows you to zoom in on small details. Access the Zoomified versions by clicking on the
button where available. Some of the outline maps can also be downloaded in PDF format for printing. A free PDF reader is available from Adobe.
We are currently making major improvements to our Florida map collection. You can visit the new site to see the improved layout and 6,000 historic and contemporary maps, as well as 13,600 graphic style maps of Florida and its counties. Each of the maps will have much more complete metadata than what we are able to display in this site. Additionally, many of the maps will offer interactive jigsaw puzzles as well as KMZ files, which allow the visitor to overlay the historic Florida map on Google Earth.
