Dade Battlefield. This site marks an important battle on 1835, which began the Second Seminole War. (10 photographs)

Florida's Response to 9/11. Images of ribbons and flags that Floridians displayed in response to the tragic events that took place on September 11, 2001. (5 photographs)

Fort Caroline. Views of the reconstructed French fort. (9 photographs)

Fort Caroline Museum. Includes images of armor, dugout canoes, artifacts, and other historical items related to the fort. (17 photographs)

Fort Clinch. Views of the fort located on Amelia Island, near Florida's east coast border with Georgia. (36 photographs)

Fort Cooper. Fort Cooper was named for Major Mark Anthony Cooper, who was ordered to protect wounded soldiers after the Second Seminole War. (7 photographs)

Fort DeSoto. Fort DeSoto was established on Mullet Key during the Spanish-American war in 1898. It was closed in 1923 along with nearby Fort Dade. (70 photographs)

Fort Jefferson. Begun in 1846, Fort Jefferson was the largest coastal fort built in the nineteenth century. (18 photographs)

Fort Pickens. Views of the fort near Pensacola. (34 photographs)

Miscellaneous. Photographs of various forts, ships, and military personnel. (19 photographs)

Mission San Luis de Apalachee. This section includes 4 galleries showing views of the church, council house, blacksmith shop, and domestic life. (90 photographs)

Natural Bridge. Site of decisive repulse of Federal forces by Confederate Militia in Joint U.S. Army and Navy Operation to take St. Marks during the Civil War. (12 photographs)

Olustee Battlefield. Views of the memorial and battlefield at Olustee where the largest Civil War battle in Florida took place. (22 photographs)

San Marcos de Apalachee. Site of the early Spanish fort built where the Wakulla and St. Marks rivers meet. The first fort was a flimsy wooden fort started in 1678 and completed in 1679. (21 photographs)

Spanish-American War. This section includes 2 galleries of photographs from the Spanish-American War. The photographs cover the preparations for war at Camp Tampa in 1898. (50 photographs)

Suwanee. Photographs of Columbus, an area near the Suwanee River, where a bridge and earthen fort were constructed by the Confederate forces during the 1800s. (7 photographs)
