August 10, 9:45 a.m. EDT. Tropical Storm Charley located in the Caribbean Sea, At 11:00 a.m. EDT, the National Hurricane Center indicated that Charley was located 350 miles (560 km) to the south-southeast of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic with sustained winds of 45 mph. ZOOM

August 11, 2:45 p.m. EDT. Tropical storm Bonnie in the Gulf of Mexico and Hurricane Charley in the Caribbean Sea, just south of Cuba. ZOOM
August 12, 8:45 a.m. EDT. Tropical Storm Bonnie in the northern Gulf of Mexico, and Hurricane Charley in the Caribbean Sea, just south of Cuba. ZOOM
August 12, 3:45 p.m. EDT. Hurricane Charley south of Cuba. At 2:00 p.m. EDT, the National Hurricane Center reported winds estimated to 105 mph and movement to the northwest at 17 mph. ZOOM
August 13, 9:45 a.m. EDT. Hurricane Charley approaches the western Florida coast with winds near 110 mph and higher gusts. ZOOM
August 13, 11:15 a.m. EDT. At 11:00 a.m. EDT, the National Hurricane Center reported estimated sustained winds to 95 mph with gusts to 115 mph and movement to the north at 16 mph. ZOOM
August 13, 3:15 p.m. EDT. At 2:00 p.m. EDT, the National Hurricane Center reported winds estimated to 145 mph near the eye of the storm and movement to the north-northeast at 20 mph. ZOOM
August 13, 4:15 p.m. EDT. Hurricane Charley is located just northwest of Fort Myers. ZOOM
August 14, 10:15 p.m. EDT. Hurricane Charley again makes landfall, this time near Georgetown, South Carolina with 75 mph winds. ZOOM
