Each panorama movie is available in two file sizes. The small movies display at the same size on your computer screen as the large movies, but the small movies do not allow you to zoom in on as much detail as the large movies do. All movies are a full circle (360 degrees) unless noted otherwise.

This movie was shot from the center of the Appellplatz (roll call square).
It opens with a view of the "International Memorial" in front
of the Wirtschoftsbebäude housing the kitchen, laundry, storage rooms,
and the "shower baths" where the SS would torture prisoners
by flogging and hanging them at the stake.

Dachau Bunker

To the left is the rear of the Wirtschaftsgebäude, which contained the kitchen, laundry, storage rooms, and torture rooms. To the right is the Lagerarrest or Bunker. This functioned as the camp prison. Two guard towers and the Jourhaus (gatehouse) are also visible in this panorama. The long, low building just to the left of the Wirtschaftsgebäude is one of two reconstructed barracks on the site.

When the memorial site was established, the barracks were derelict and had to be demolished. All that remains are the foundations.

Small Crematorium is barely visible behind some bushes opposite the Large
Crematorium.
