Virtual Reality Movies: Stutthof

Each panorama movie is available in two file sizes. The small movies display at the same size on your computer screen as the large movies, but the small movies do not allow you to zoom in on as much detail as the large movies do. All movies are a full circle (360 degrees) unless noted otherwise.


Stutthof Barracks Memorial

These low white walls mark the locations of barracks in the new camp section of Stutthof. Rotate the VR to see the low, dark barracks of the women's block just visible through the trees.


Stutthof Center of Camp

This VR opens with a view of the women's block. Moving to the left, the large three story camp headquarters building comes into view. The low building in front of the headquarters is the administration barrack and and bunkers. The long, single story building to the left is prisoners' barrack number 8. Continuing to the left, the foundations of other old camp buildings may be seen. In the distance is the crematorium with the smaller gas chamber to the left. To the left of the gas chamber is the two-part "Monument of Fight and Martyrdom" by Wiktor Tolkin. In front of the monument is located the "Forum of Nations."


Stutthof Crematorium

This VR opens with a view of the Stutthof gas chamber. In the background can be seen the boxcars that transported prisoners. The large crematorium to the right began operations in 9142. Further to the right can be see the foundations of several buildings in the old camp section. Further to the right can be seen the back of the Fight and Martyrdom Memorial. Through a window in the back of the memorial can be seen ashes and bones of prisoners who lost their lives at Stutthof.


Stutthof Memorial

The "Forum of Nations" is a large area for commemoration ceremonies. To the right is Wiktor Tolkin's "Monument of Fight and Martyrdom." The vertical section of the monument represents the fight and victory. The horizontal section represents the martyrdom of the camp inmates. Behind and to the right of the monument can be seen the gas chamber and camp crematorium. Foundations of buildings located in the old camp section of Stutthof may also be seen.
