INTEGRATING DRAMA/THEATER AND ACADEMICS: Having worked in an arts magnet school, I saw first hand how natural it is for students to learn academics through arts experiences. I saw how students’ enthusiasm, interest, excitement, confidence, memory, and learning increased with the integration of the arts into classroom instruction. Not every school has the opportunity to have an “arts magnet program” or a “drama department,” however, every teacher can add dramatic instruction and learning activities to his/her classroom by using some of the suggestions in the monthly blogs and the FCIT resources.
