Main Street

Main Street, by Sinclair Lewis, is a tale published in 1920.  It is a book on small town life. This novel, from Lit2Go, would be a good choice to share with secondary students during American History class.  Using Lit2Go, students may read specific chapters of the book.  Help students to recognize fact and opinion.  Perhaps they could chart the similarities and differences noted in small town life from 1920 to the present day.

Integrating literature into the content area is a great way to support comprehension skills and helps students make a necessary connection between subjects.
