Digital History

Digital History is a site worth a bit of your time exploring.  There are no ads to distract. The site seems well organized and offers a multimedia history of the United States from the Revolution to the present. There is an online History book, interactives, time lines, teacher resources, guided reading, movies and music.

This site was updated July 6, 2011 and a portion of the site is still being developed. It is advertised as an “educational and non-commercial site designed specifically for history teachers and their students”.

The Writing Guides page is part of the History Reference Room.  This is extremely helpful for students and teachers and a good reference tool.

Multimedia exhibits, with photo clips and other resources available from the site, is available during the development phase.  Comments are welcome.
