Mr. Murray: What were you doing before you went in the military?
 Dr. Cole: Well, I was a football player and I received a scholarship to St. Louis Unversity. The Army took over the school and I was pushed right through.

Mr. Murray: Was the scholarship for college or for dental school?
 Dr. Cole: Both. Four years of college and four years of dental school.

Mr. Murray: When you graduated from dental school how many years did you owe the military?
 Dr. Cole: There was no prescribed time, I was not under contract.

Mr. Murray: Did you get paid to go to school or did you just get a tuition?
 Dr. Cole: I was paid to go to school.

Mr. Murray: That's a pretty nice deal. What year was this?
 Dr. Cole: Around 1943.
