Al Doyle:
"The
Marines didn't have to fire a shot."
Clip 2
After 9/11, we received orders to go to Afghanistan. We had several A-Teams; an A-Team is a group of twelve men. The A-Teams went into North Afghanistan and worked with the Northern Alliance. The Northern Alliance had tanks, artillery, horses, big guns, and manpower, but they were not well trained. So, Special Forces Teams went in there and trained them. The Northern Alliance wanted to take their country back, so they were willing to be trained by us. The same thing happened in the southern part of Afghanistan, when we got hold of the warlords down there. Several Special Forces A-Teams went in there and trained them. When the word came to move, the ones from the North moved South and captured the capital city of Kabul, and the ones from the South moved North, capturing the big airstrip at Kandahar. When the Marines landed at Kandahar, there were Special Forces on captured Russian tanks waving at them, "Come on in, its all clear." The Marines didn't have to fire a shot. This is our power; we have force multipliers. A force multiplier is when you recruit let's say ten men, and then expand that number to a thousand with different teams, and then you hit and hit and hit. Our main objective when we are in combat is Guerilla warfare. Hit and run, hit and run, hit 'em hard.
