We had escape and evasion the last three days. They give you c-rations, your rifle, a poncho, a few sets of underwear and socks, and you head out with a partner in the jungle. You had to go from one place to the Pacific Ocean and all you had was a map and a compass. There were trails from the other people who had gone through the jungle school. But, if you follow the trails, they had a little army to capture you and they took you to a little prison camp. Now it’s all play but it’s like the real thing and I got really tired. I’ve been known to cut corners, Mr. Murray will tell you [laughter]. I’d thought I’d out smart them. Instead of following the trails, I used a machete to cut my way through the jungle.
