I got drafted when I was young and stupid; I had dropped out of college. I was sent to Fort Campbell, Kentucky for boot camp and then to Fort Dix, New Jersey for wheel mechanics school because I was a mechanic before I went into the service. Then, I went out to Fort Sill, Oklahoma for track school to work on tanks.
