Mittelbau-Dora

Ruins of the Mittelbau-Dora laundry. A sign at the site reads: "The prisoners were able to change their dirty clothes only infrequently. Clothing that reached the laundry was usually very dirty and tattered. Because of the large population of the camp, the prisoners working in the laundry had to clean mountains of clothes under primitive conditions. They also had to wash infected bedding from the infirmary."
