Exploring Linear Equations

• This activity was designed to help students understand the difference between y-intercept
  and slope.
  
• With a graphing calculator, students changed either y-intercept or the slope numbers and hit
  the graph key.
  
• The graphing calculator allowed the students to see the changes quickly.
• They could see if the steepness of the slope or the position of the y-intercept were changing.
