Elementary Education
The B.S. in Elementary Education Program develops teacher leaders who possess a sound pedagogical teaching philosophy and practice as well as an inquiry stance that allows them to negotiate curriculum and instruction in ways that empower them to enhance all students’ learning.
The MAT in Elementary Education/ESOL Program is designed for those who have a bachelor's degree in a non-elementary area from an accredited institution and wish to become certified teachers in grades Kindergarten through six.
The M.A. in Elementary Education Program is designed for professional educators who seek to further their knowledge and expertise in the field of elementary education. The successful candidate will select a curriculum emphasis from an elementary content area with a goal of proficiency in teaching elementary students.
The Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction with a concentration in Elementary Education prepares educators who are interested in working at the K-6 or college level, or in local, state, regional, national, or international agencies. The program encompasses a distinctive approach to understanding elementary practice through research and innovation that unites community engagement and rigorous intellectual inquiry.
