Bob Black: This war was different
Clip 4

I'm sure the government would like to have forgotten about the Vietnam War because it wasn't the military who lost the war. I say lost, but when I left, we were winning. That's the way most veterans feel about the war. The government wouldn't let us win; they wouldn't let us do what needed to be done. The whole philosophy of this war was different. We would go out in the day and pass fire, but I didn't like to kill them because I worked in the villages, teaching kids to brush their teeth and wash and things like that. At night, we would pull back, go back the next day to secure the area, and all those people where dead.
