Tony Taylor: A proud Marine
Clip 6

Student: When you came back from Vietnam, did you feel proud?
Taylor: One thing about the Marine Corps, you can't help but feel proud because that's tough, the Marine Corps is tough. Everyone will tell you about basic training in the Marine Corps. If you can survive basic training, you're tough. That's what they pride themselves on. I'm sure you've heard the slogan - the few, the proud, the Marines - that meant something.

Student: Because the Marines are the first ones to go in there aren't they?
Taylor: Yes. The Marines do it all. We have our own air force, our own navy, our own infantry; we don't need anybody else. The Army, Navy and Air Force are three separate branches of service; the Marine Corps had all of those in one and we pride ourselves on that.
