Tony Taylor: Friend or foe?
Clip 8

Student: Do you feel that the people you served with in Vietnam are your family or part of your family?
Taylor: Yes. We have that connection because we're all survivors and we know what it was all about. That's why I work in this field, because I know I'm working with people that may have saved my life.

Student: Did you guys have good communication with the other Vietnamese who were fighting along with the Americans?
Taylor: No. That was part of the problem. One guy might be working on your base during the day and at night he was the enemy. So, you didn't know friend or foe. It made it very tough.

Student: Sounded good on paper, but it just didn't work.
Taylor: Right. It was like a civil war - the Vietnamese were fighting eachother. When we came in there, we didn't know who the enemy was and who was our friend.
