Lee County Unit of Home Defense

The Lee County Unit of Home Defense pictured here (ca 1945) was a volunteer organization for community service and was organized August 1940, to replace the National Guard, Company F, which had gone away for training. These men furnished their own uniforms and met weekly for drill and study.
