Wood burning train in the Everglades


A black and white photo of a train in the Everglades. "...I had to pause to let a log train pass. I learned that such old time wood burning locomotives were used throughout the Everglades country. Sparks from them would frequently set fire to cutover lands and burned until stopped by swamp water."
