Old Great Seal of the State of Florida
- Description: The old Florida State Seal. The old Florida State Seal included a Great Plains Native American spreading flowers in the foreground. In the background was a coconut palm that is not native to Florida, mountains, and a large ship. Because of these inaccuracies, there have been some changes to the seal. Today, the seal includes a Seminole Native American woman spreading flowers. In the background there is a steamboat and a sabal palm, which is the state tree of Florida. Also, encircling the seal are the words, ÒGreat Seal of the State of FloridaÓ and ÒIn God we Trust.Ó
