Description: This is a map showing the piezometric contours for the state of Florida, current to 1967. "The lines on the piezometric surface represent the height, in feet above sea level, to which water will rise in wells tightly cased into the limestones of the Floridian aquifer. The piezometric surface in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties slopes generally from north to south, the direction of water movement in the aquifer." — Florida Bureau of Geology Please see the article Ground-Water Features in Escambia and Santa Rosa Counties, Florida by Jack T.
