Memorial plaque. "The summit upon which this resting stands is about 324 feet above sea level. It is the highest point of land yet measured in Peninsular Florida by the Government of the United States. It is also the highest land within sixty miles of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico between Washington and Rio Grande."
