"Very widely distributed in all 48 contiguous states (though at only 2 localities in Nev. and collected only once in CA). C. Maine w. to extreme s. Quebec, s. Ontario, n. Minnesota, e. N. Dakota, Man., and e. Sask., s. to nw. and c. Texas, and e. to nw. Florida. Also scattered mostly in mts. in w. from s. B.C. and w. Washington, s. to se. Arizona and s. N. Mexico. Also local in n.
