Description: This map from the U. S. Geological Survey Professional Paper 1403-1 shows the sodium-to-chloride molar ratios in water samples from wells in the Upper Floridan aquifer, current to 1989. The diagonals show a ratio less than or equal to 1, the light shaded area shows a ratio greater than 1 but less than 3 and the dark shaded area shows a ratio equal to or greater than 3. Molar concentration or mol is a measure of the concentration of a solution.
