Dr. Janet Richard's research interests include changes in preservice teachers' beliefs and cognition in early field programs, reading and writing comprehension strategies, self-study of teaching practices, multiple literacies, and interdisciplinary teaching.
She is the author of one book and three textbooks published by Erlbaum Publishers. She has published over 100 articles in journals, such as The Reading Teacher, Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, Reading and Writing Quarterly, Journal of Reading Education, Journal of Reading Research, Teaching Exceptional Children, The Qualitative Report, The Thinking Classroom, Research in the Schools, The Reading Professor, and The Journal of Educational Research.
Dr Richards is a USAID Scholar and works with teachers in emerging nations, such as Thailand, Pakistan, Azerbaijan, Estonia, and Romania.
