New York: The Museum of Jewish Heritage--A Living Memorial to the Holocaust The Museum of Jewish Heritage--A Living Memorial to the Holocaust is located in New York City. Its mission is to educate people of all ages and backgrounds about the 20th century Jewish experience before, during, and after the Holocaust. View of the museum from Battery Park. The six-sided building was designed by Kevin Roche to resemble a Star of David. Remembrance stones. It is a Jewish custom to leave a stone as a remembrance. North Wall of the Museum. The Museum's three floors display exhibits of Jewish Life a Century Ago, the War Against the Jews, and Jewish Renewal. South Wall of the Museum.
