In our programs, students receive careful and thoughtful advising. We strive for timely and accurate communication and we use various forms of online and social media to provide the most current information to students. Students are treated with respect and care within the department and in courses. The student experience enables students to acquire the skills, knowledge, and dispositions necessary to succeed as outstanding educators.

College of Education

The College of Education is a USF research leader. The College ranks in the top third of all graduate schools of education in the country, according to the U.S. News & World Report. The majority of the College's centers and institutes support the training and research interests of both graduate students and faculty. The College, in partnership with local school districts, has also established professional development schools to provide extensive professional and research opportunities for students, teachers, and university personnel.  College of Education faculty members have excellent teaching records and are actively engaged in research and other scholarly activities, including service to the University, the community, and the field of education.  These pursuits enable them to be at the cutting edge in their respective fields and to advance the knowledge base for those fields of study and for education in general.  In addition, faculty members hold offices in professional organizations and make substantial contributions as members of College and University committees. The College of Education at the University of South Florida has eight academic departments and offers many interdisciplinary programs and certificates.
