November 11: Mayflower Compact

On this date in 1620, 41 passengers aboard the Mayflower signed the Mayflower Compact, the first governing document of the Plymouth Colony.

Edward Winslow

Edward Winslow illustration from the ClipArt ETC website. Winslow (1595 – 1655) was one of the signers of the Mayflower Compact. He served as the governor of Plymouth Colony in 1633, 1636, and finally in 1644.
