Build the Technology Integration Matrix

This set of five activities will give you the opportunity to think through the order of the summary descriptors for the Technology Integration Matrix (TIM). You can re-try each of the five activities until your answers match the order of descriptors in the TIM.

1. The Active Characteristic: Sort Activity

The red cards at the bottom display the five summary descriptors for the Active Characteristic in a random order. Drag and drop them in the proper order from Entry to Transformation Level at the top. Click the “Check” button to check your answers. If you are presenting this activity to a group, click the blue arrows in the upper right corner to expand the interactive to full screen. Use the Escape key to exit full screen.

2. The Collaborative Characteristic: Sort Activity

Now sort the summary descriptors for the Collaborative Characteristic.

3. The Constructive Characteristic: Sort Activity

Halfway there! Now sort the summary descriptors for the Constructive Characteristic. You should start to recognize patterns among the three characteristics so far.

4. The Authentic Characteristic: Sort Activity

Now sort the summary descriptors for the Authentic Characteristic. You’re almost done!

5. The Goal-Directed Characteristic: Sort Activity

Finally, sort the summary descriptors for the Goal-Directed Characteristic. When you’ve finished this characteristic, you’ll have built an entire Technology Integration Matrix!

This activity can also be conducted using a printed card set or a wall-sized TIM.
