TIM Tools for Dissertations
Dr. James Welsh

The Technology Integration Matrix is known as a model that is solidly grounded in the literature on meaningful learning, but it is also a very practical framework that was developed in concert with teachers and other school and district personnel. Because the TIM teases out the levels of technology integration across five important characteristics of meaningful learning environments, it can add rich descriptiveness to classroom research. In this presentation, James reviews the TIM from a research perspective and briefly introduces the specific tools of the TIM Tools suite most frequently utilized in dissertation or other research work.
