Objectives

  • Students will track their carbon footprint.
  • They will compare their carbon footprint to the carbon footprint of a student in another country.

Procedure

  • Students will track their carbon footprint.
  • Students will track the footprint of a student their age in another country.
  • Students will compare and contrast their carbon footprint to that of the other student.
  • Students will learn how their consumption affects marine life, pasture land, forest land, etc.

  • Computer with Internet access
  • Examples of students from other countries

Grade Level: 6-8

Note: The TIM is about teaching, not technology. The placement of videos on the TIM is based entirely on the teaching practices demonstrated in the lesson and not on the specific technology employed.
