[Teacher voiceover]Now, each student is doing their own individual thing, as I said before, they have their progress sheet. Right now and there I can think of the one negative about this program is they don’t seem to get to communicate with each other enough. Because you know you’re trying to get them caught up in what they’re doing, and when they get that opportunity they really seem to enjoy it.

Objectives
- Students will understand features of the theological and cultural conflict between the Muslim world and Christendom and the resulting religious, political, and economic competition in the Mediterranean region.
Procedure
- Students read a chapter on the world of Islam in their online world history textbook.
- Students complete textbook activities including chapter overview, web activities, self-check quizzes and interactive tutors.
- For current events related to the topic, students can link to major online new organizations and resources as well as additional web resources and state resources.
